How Many Social Media Accounts Do You Need?
What Social Media Platforms Matter The Most?
How Can I Use Social Media for Business?
Does Social Media Even Matter for Small Business?

Great questions. I have some answers for you. How Many Social Media Accounts Do You Need? The truth is that you shouldn’t be overwhelmed by the number of Social Media platforms there are.

Some platforms you don’t need to be in everyday. Some platforms you can schedule post and automate so you have more time to respond to people…more on that later.

Some Social Media platforms may not even make sense for you to be on at all. Use the platforms where your audience participates and play to your strengths.

What Social Media Platforms Matter The Most?
The Social Media Platforms where you can build the strongest relationship with your audience, get the most leverage and create the best experience. Not necessarily in that order.

How Can I Use Social Media for Business?
So many ways… Social Media can allow you to build a deeper relationship both with your audience and with valuable networking partners. If that doesn’t sound practical enough, cool, you have direct selling opportunities in live streaming platforms, and passive selling opportunities via content.

Social Media matters for small business because relationships and exposure and listening all matter. People matter. When say that your company doesn’t prioritize social media you are saying your company doesn’t value engaging with human beings outside of a transaction.

I agree 100% (focus on 3-4 main ones) balance time versus content creation
    , thanks RB for sharing

  2. Abe Martinez (WizdomTrumpsFarce) says:

I’m really looking how tumblr and Instagram let me post on Facebook and
twitter simultaneously. as for Snapchat I’m learning how to use it better
by watching Gary and your stories. his engagements through screen shots etc
    are really effective

  3. Jhaveri Aakash says:

I believe in being on every social media initially, and reserving my
Handle. Then eventually I can finalise what to go forward with

  6. ACEKID says:

at first I created accounts across all the social media platforms I knew,
but after some time I grew bored of Twitter so I completely stopped using
it. It just isn’t for me, I don’t have anything to say on it.

  7. Jermaine Ellis says:

    Thanks for the help!

  8. Bralon Thompson says:

google plus is amazing once you learn how to use it. you get so much
traffic from it, one you have it down.

  9. Simply Marvellous says:

What are the odds. I swear you read my mind. I was just debating my
Instagram last night. I don’t think it works for my purpose. I enjoy
YouTube more but everyone says I need an Instagram. Thank you, you answered
    my own inner question!

  10. DestruyelaMediocridad says:

Good job on the thumbnail Roberto!

  11. Velogi - Pyöräilevä videoblogi says:

Thanks for sharing this. But how to figure out beforehand on which platform
    your target audience is?

  12. Sketch Dirt says:

Yes! Please do a video about being comfortable on camera (if you haven’t
    already!) Great video!

  13. Faith Cobb says:

Thank you :). I wish to be a pro singer/dancer so what social media should
I use? I was thinking instagram, youtube, facebook, twitter (not really
    sure) and wordpress for blogging.

  14. Lisa Halligan says:

I really need to figure out how to use Instagram better. I’m not
particularly active on FB or Pinterest, but everything from my YT channel
and blog gets shared both places. I interact more on FB. I’m experimenting
    with Twitter more.

I do have accounts at most of the social media sharing channels, too, like
StumbleUpon and Digg and Google+. I share all of my YT videos and blog
posts to each, and then when I watch a video and like it, I share it all
over the place. I particularly share to Pinterest, SU, Digg, G+ and
Twitter. And if I can find the Twitter handle for the person whose channel
it is, I put that in the tweet so they know I shared it.

It’s all a grand experiment at this point, but we’ll see how it goes!

  15. Harjot Singh says:

Hey Roberto, I really want to start a channel but I have a smartphone and I
am not sure whether I should do it or not. Please let me know, thank you.

  16. Nacho TV says:

Social media does help but to be in all formats can be draining. It is nice
focusing on just a couple of platforms.

  17. Tanman C says:

do you consider YouTube a social media?

Thanks for the info! Subbed after 1 vid, however in this second video I
can’t stop looking at dat SAO desktop. Image playing WoW on a device like
that, wooo! Seriously though, I just started a channel to review products
and Amazon affiliate market( how I found you ). My sales talent at work is
wasted and it’s time for a change. Plus I love chatting up a storm about
things I buy, so it seems a natural progression.
